Abstract

The business plan aims to create a place where employees of Japanese companies can get ideas for their work. The value offered by the business is the ability to interact with people from outside the company who have different perspectives from their own, and to quickly have the opportunity to discuss issues they are facing. Specifically, the business model is that an online platform and an associated physical location is provided for discussions.

The paper describes the current state of Japanese society as a favourable opportunity for this business. Japan's declining population and the emphasis on work-life balance require each worker to be more efficient in their work. And for this reason, activities and learning outside the office are receiving more attention. The business has chosen to target workers in the real estate industry in particular as its first target. The background to the real estate industry is also drawn from the need for change due to the spread of home-based work. In addition, four phases of business are clearly distinguished in order to ensure that the start-up business leads to growth. : the Foundation Phase, the Seed Phase, the Early Phase and the Middle/Later Phase. The importance of aiming to develop an MVP is emphasised, especially in the foundation phase, when resources are limited. Furthermore, a marketing and, financial plan is provided, aiming to build a sustainable business model. Finally, a reflective review part of this business plan is provided, in which key points are identified that will be important in using this experience to contribute to Japanese society.
