Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of organisational culture on organisational performance and whether there are some common cultural traits for successful enterprises. Therefore, a comparative case study analysis was conducted by choosing Huawei and Google, two top well-known companies. Each company’s organisational culture and organisational performance will be analysed. Findings will be interpreted in line with the literature review. The results of the research show that organisational culture has a profound impact on organisational performance, meanwhile, successful companies have some outstanding and general cultural traits. However, these companies also have their own cultural characteristics that are unrepeatable, which provides them competitive advantages.
