Abstract

JobMatch Sdn Bhd (JobMatch) is a startup company founded in 2018. JobMatch is a private limited company equally owned by Diana Afandi and Gan Soo Hong. As the name implies, JobMatch offers a job-matching platform that provide a holistic solution to cater for individuals that is looking for a job (“Job Seekers”) and the organizations or companies that is looking for the right talent (“The Companies/Employers/Hiring Managers”) by offering a service platform that provides a mobile/desktop job discovery and matching application that allows users to browse for jobs and connect with the employers anytime and anywhere locally.

JobMatch is established to make the recruiting process more efficient. It aims to help the government reduce unemployment rate, and also seek ways to make it easier for job seekers to find another job that suits their skill sets. JobMatch is also expected to be one of the preferred service providers for different kind of job seekers such as freelancers and fresh graduates as it will be able to match the requirement of the candidates versus the criterias set by the employers.

JobMatch provides a platform for employers to connect to job seekers seamlessly by offering interactive features embedded in the job-hunting process, which includes the utilization of cutting edge algorithm tools. With its initial service covering the Malaysia market, it seeks to be more than just another employment market place such as Jobstreet, which is currently one of the market leaders in terms of online recruitment. JobMatch aims to be the leading player in the online employment marketplace that provides an integrated recruitment platform that integrates many additional features that can match the expectations of the employers and the needs of job seekers.

Through experienced management team and platform, JobMatch believes that JobMatch would be able to help everyone to search for their job conveniently that matches their preference and skillset and employers would be able to hire the right talent efficiently. JobMatch’s source of revenues will be generated mainly through job advertising, job posting and swipes from the employers. JobMatch would be able to generate many users’ different approaches such as referrals, marketing strategies through above the line (“ATL”) and below the link (“BTL”) marketing initiatives.

JobMatch’s growth will be mainly driven by the growing population of millennials in Malaysia who are looking for jobs. The faster turnover between jobs or the growing popularity of freelance jobs would be beneficial for JobMatch as it foresees a spike in demand for its platform as a result.

The risks involved in this venture has also been analyzed in this business plan, which is mainly centered on the potential risk that another player may step into the market offering something more interesting (or new) and that may threaten JobMatch’s market positioning.
