Abstract

The objective of this dissertation is to investigate the working condition and job satisfaction of the employees in Huazhu hotels groups in China. Since the comparatively high turnover rate of hotel employees, the work condition, especially job satisfaction and turnover intention of employees in hospitality industry has been the controversial topic for decades. Huazhu hotel groups is one of the most famous economy hotels group with more than 3000 hotels around China. This study is going to investigate about the employees’ work conditions by analysis their satisfaction level for specific aspects and what they really concern in terms of the factors at work after selecting 47 participants who are working either in the headquarter or in sub hotels at Huazhu group by adopting questionnaire survey research method. Overall, they are slight satisfied with their work at Huazhu which is similar with other previous researches. The payment and personal development are the most two important factors that they foremost concern.
