Abstract

This document is a five year business plan is for Thirdkey Ltd, a training and coaching business based in Nottingham. Thirdkey Ltd has developed from Thirdkey Social Enterprise Solutions a specialist consultancy founded by Chris Mahon in 2004 to serve the social sector. Now Chris Skilton is joining the business to take over day to day operations and oversee the expansion of Thirdkey into a larger training organisation.

The long-term vision for Thirdkey is as a firm that will partner with other organisations to manage their training programs to create a more structured approach to learning and development that provides superior returns on investment and is better aligned with organisational goals. However the business will start small capitalised with £10,000 from Chris Mahon and Chris Skilton and progress through three stages of business development over five years to move towards the long-term vision. In year 5 Thirdkey is forecast to generate sales of £1,227,393 with a net profit after tax of £275,500 and a closing bank balance of £642,649.
