The transient hyperaemic response in skin: investigations related to its application in critical illnessTools Beed, Martin (2011) The transient hyperaemic response in skin: investigations related to its application in critical illness. DM thesis, University of Nottingham.
AbstractThe transient hyperaemic response (THR) is a novel way of assessing vascular reactivity that measures vasodilatory responses after 10-20 second periods of ischaemia. Previous studies have combined the THR test with measurements of microcirculatory perfusion using laser Doppler flowmetry in the of forearm skin of healthy volunteers.
