Abstract

Employee performance Management is becoming important for an organization day by day as the organisation has to go through various changes occurring in the environment. In the present scenario organizations are focusing on applying green techniques in the company in order to contribute towards the sustainable environment. Organizations are emphasizing on measuring the impact of green HRM policies on the employee performance level. The successful delivery of these practices and techniques depends upon the employee participation.

The objective of the research is therefore to:

• To identify and analyse different factors currently used in the organization to measure performance of employees.

• To figure out how trainings or induction programme can help employees achieve higher performance.

• Effects after implementing the green policies in the organization.

• To check whether employee participation help in achieving the desired goal of implementing green policies.

• To identify the best practices and techniques that can be implemented to maintain the balance between employee performance and sustainability.

A sample of people were then interviewed who are working or had worked in any organization to give their views on Green practices and techniques occurring in their organization. These views were summarised and compared against the successful delivery or implementation of Green HRM in the organization.

The resulting analysis found that organizations are working towards creating sustainability. From recruitment to exit, Green practices and policies should be implemented in order to achieve sustainable environment. Although to some level it has been achieved but without the engagement of employees, fully implementation of Green practices in an organization is not possible.
