Abstract

In recent years, globalization has become a very important theme in the world, no matter in the business side or any other cultural or education sides. Also MNEs from developing countries are becoming the major power of outward FDI activities and China is the most influential developing countries in the world. Therefore, this dissertation focus on the entry mode of Chinese MNEs’ overseas activities. Theoretically, this kind of topic is already discussed in the previous studies. However, when we looking for certain entry modes such as acquisitions and strategic alliances, there are much less related articles and essays would talk about both of these entry modes and make a compare between them. The primary aim for this study is to find the determinants for choose entry modes between strategic alliances and acquisition. Also this essay conducts the case study of five successful Chinese international brands in the electric industry. Through the experiences of those companies to find out the suitable entry mode choices for the emerging MNEs.
