Abstract

Regulators and risk managers focus primarily on more tangible risks area, such as operational risk, credit risk and market risk. Recently, people risk has increased rapidly in financial service, especially for banks. And it has received a lot of attention by HR managers, because people risk often represent the operational risk linked to HR management.

This dissertation is aim to examine the role of people risk in banks and the role of HRM in managing people risk. The people risk management is examined by qualitative technique on the 3 UK banks with 10 employees. The key areas is to synthesize and compare the mitigate solution in managing people risk, which represents the areas for further study.
