Abstract

Pursuing business excellence, high-class quality and its management have become the key aspects of the corporate world and they have a big impact on the manufacturing organizations. Continuous quality improvement helps to attain customer satisfaction and over all system improvement. Numerous Quality Management theories rule the business world today. It is important to choose the right one for the right organization. Having this in mind the research study employs the qualitative method to reach the objective.

This study examines the quality problems of manufacturing units situated in a developing country like India. In reference to a case study conducted, we can help recognize what quality problems occur in such organizations and what steps are taken for eradication of these quality problems. The study helps understand the company s response to the implementation of these quality approaches in an Indian manufacturing unit. The main aim of this dissertation is to execute these quality improvement strategies in the Case Study Company Inter Carat. Application of quality enhancing formula helped the organization (Inter Carat), to become a more quality conscious organization in order to compete in the Global Market.
