AbstractPMBOK framework was one of the more popular project management frameworks in the project management society in handling different types of projects. The detailed nature and extensive coverage of the framework allow it to be able to handle different types of projects. However, the framework serves as a hindrance to small-scale CapEx projects in manufacturing sector. The reason for the hindrance was due to the limited resources in small-scale project in handling huge amount of PMBOK deliverable. The project team would be required to spend unnecessary time to meet the framework requirements. A mix-methods methodology comprising of explanatory sequential design analysis, qualitative questionnaire, quantitative interview to the targeted personnel was conducted
