This is especially true with the technology advances and exponential growth of Internet. Most of the firms nowadays embrace information technology to better manage its business, improve operational efficiency, shorten turnaround time, and eliminate non-value processes to streamline workflow. Information technology has now become part of the core business functionality which can make or break the firm's success.

For Toshiba Singapore, many issues remain: How to ensure the information system strategy is aligned with the business strategy? How can Toshiba effectively manage this technology and its uses? What are the major repercussions from the installation of the information system? Are the returns on its information system positive? How can Toshiba further improve to maintain its competitive advantages? These are the questions that this report aims to answer and will be discussing in detail.
