Abstract

Justo de Lara is probably a great unknown character from Cuba's history, although some literary and journalistic merits have been attributed to him that should be enough as to rescue him from history and be remembered as one of the main characters, with a a certain importance but with a remarkable useful when we try to immerse in both, Cuba's journalistic and political history.

Justo de Lara offers us an exceptional viewpoint from which to follow journalistic changes in the 1975-1929 Cuba and so, political evolution as well, and the experience so full of ambiguities that had to be a Cuban in one of the most tumultuous periods in Cuba's history.
