Abstract

This MBA Project is the result of the Financial Controls Project conducted for UK Gas Turbines Operations at Rolls Royce Plc.

The Objectives of this project were to identify the key financial controls which are/ should be operated by the site finance staff in operations at Rolls Royce Global Gas Turbines Operations. Propose Task transfers in Principal from Site finance to other functions, Central teams and Self Directed Teams (SDTs). Identify the challenges, which would arise from reducing the numbers of Operations site finance staff, during task transfer and greater empowerment of shop floor staff through SDTs and propose measures to address the challenges identified above.
