AbstractThe Synchronous Reluctance machines have been increasingly popular during the past decades as they share advantages like simple and robust rotor structure, high efficiency, good torque capability and low cost. They are identified as the alternate to the induction machines. However, the power factor of Synchronous Reluctance machines appear lower than the induction machines.
